Who We Are

In 2011, the Winchester First Church of the Nazarene (est. 1916) added a new addition to their existing gymnasium/fellowship building.

This new children’s wing was well-suited to address a need in our community for an academically focused preschool.

In August 2011, we opened KidzTown Academy Preschool with two classes Pre-Kindergarten (M/W/F—4-5 years old) and Busy Bees(T/TH 3—4 years old).  In the next several years, we continued to expand our preschool offerings with additional classes.

In August 2016, we expanded KidzTown to include daycare from infants through pre-Kindergarten (M-F, 6:30 AM—5:30 PM).

KidzTown Academy exists to promote the child's total physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual development by encouraging a love of God as we know Him in Jesus Christ, a biblical view of self, creative self-expression, an attitude of cooperation and sharing, and an expanding knowledge of the world in which we live.  Students who participate in our daycare ministry have many opportunities to prepare for Kindergarten by using creativity to develop large motor skills, fine motors skills, and life skills.  There are weekly themes based around letters, numbers, and holidays.  Students are also taught Bible verses, songs, and how to be kind and share with one another. The loving and warm environment here at KidzTown helps students achieve their best.
